The Sun Lakes Weekend trip is an annual "Fun in the Sun" Summit West Volunteer Ski Patrol tradition. All patrollers and their friends and family are welcome to come. Rustic cabins, mobile homes or rv/tent sites are available to rent. Enjoy the fun at either Deep Lake or Sun Lake, (Deep Lake located 1/2 mile from Sun Lakes Resort), bring your favorite floatation device and tie up. Be a spectator or participate in the rock climbing and cliff jumping. At SunLake play in the water, bask in the sun or join in the water sports. Paddle boats available for rent. Swimming pool, 9-Hole golf course and miniature golf are also available. Gift shop and small convenience store at the resort.
Don’t miss Friday night International/hors d’oeuvres potluck down at the cabins, Saturday morning 2nd annual golf tournament (all golfing levels welcome) Saturday evening barbecue your own meat, fish, poultry etc. and share a potluck side dish up at the campsites. Breakfast served by John Skinner & Bill Ashby down at the cabins.
Folks usually start arriving as early as Thursday and some stay through the week-end, come for any or all dates. Sun Lakes Resort is located one-hour drive from Grand Coulee Dam. Free electric light show held at the dam every evening.
